Nangibabaw ang ganda at talino ni Bea sa 67 candidates mula sa iba't-ibang panig ng mundo. First Runner-Up si Miss Netherlands Nathalie den Dekker at 2nd Runner-Up si Miss New Zealand Casey Radley.
Kasama sa Top 5 sina Miss Colombia Cindy Aguilar at Miss Hungary Brigitta Otvos.
Ang iba pang pumasok sa Top 15 ay ang mga kandidata mula sa Gibraltar, Brazil, Puerto Rico, Ecuador, USA, Lithuania, Iceland, Russia, Thailand and Spain.
Napunta naman ang Special Awards kina Miss Aruba (Best National Costume), Miss New Zealand (Miss Friendship), Miss Macau (Miss Internet) at Miss Lithuania (Miss Photogenic).
Hindi question-and-answer ang sistema sa last round, bagkus ito ay 30-second speech sa subject na, "What I will do if I am crowned Miss International."
Ito ang winning speech ni Bea:
"The whole world saw how my country, the Philippines, suffered. The agony of my people was felt. But one by one, country to country, came to help. I would like to thank all the nations that helped my country in our darkest hours. You have opened my eyes and my heart on how important it is if we all just support each other.
"If I become Miss International, I
would uphold international camaraderie to sustain the spirit for sympathy and to
continually share the message of hope. I believe that whatever calamity may
come to us, as long as we have each other, there will be hope. Thank you."
Hindi nakapasok sa Top 15 ang Venezuela kaya walang dudang Pilipinas ang Country of the Year sa larangan ng beauty pageants.
Nanalo man bilang Miss Universe at Miss Earth ang Venezuela ngayong taong ito, pero hindi na nakapasok sa finals o semi-finals ang mga kandidata sa ibang contests.
Ang Pilipinas ay panalo sa Miss Supranationl (Mutya Datul), Miss World (Megan Young) at pangatlo nga ang panalo ni Bea Santiago sa Miss International.
Sa iba pang pageants ay maganda rin ang placement ng bansa--3rd Runner-Up sa Miss Universe (Ariella Arida), 3rd Runner-Up sa Miss Grand International (Annalie Forbes) kung saan ang winner ay Miss Puerto Rico, Top 8 sa Miss Earth (Angelee delos Reyes), 3rd Runner-Up sa Miss Intercontinental (Koreen Medina) at Top 15 sa Miss Tourism Queen International (Cindy Miranda). Idagdag pa ang Mister International (Mr. Venezuela ang winner) kung saan 4th Runner-Up si Gil Wagas Jr. Nanalong Miss Campus of the World (personality contest ng mga estudyante sa Asia) si Marisse Mendoza at Mr. Campus of the World 1st Runner-Up si William de Dios.
